This is a Busch Vacuum Type 250-138 industrial vacuum pump assembly designed for creating and maintaining vacuum in industrial process and production installations. The main pump housing carries the raised BUSCH VACUUM identification and is combined with an integral electric drive motor.
The pump identification plate specifies a vacuum value of 20 mbar. The pump uses oil lubrication and the nameplate specifies SAE 30 oil with a total oil quantity of 6 litres. The unit is marked Made in Switzerland.
The pump is equipped with a complete external vacuum pipe assembly. This includes an analogue vacuum gauge, allowing the vacuum level in the connected line to be monitored locally. A manual handwheel-operated valve is also installed in the pipework for manual isolation or adjustment of the connected vacuum line.
A cylindrical inline vessel or filter assembly is installed between the pump and the vertical process pipework. This component forms part of the existing vacuum installation and is connected directly to the pump through rigid metal piping.
The upper pipe assembly provides a flanged process connection for connection to external equipment or a vacuum distribution system. Additional fittings, valves and pipe sections are already assembled as shown in the photographs, making this more than a bare vacuum pump.
The electric motor is mounted directly to the vacuum pump assembly and has its own identification plate. A separate electrical control / connection enclosure is located alongside the pump. The assembly is also supplied with the electrical and connection cables visible in the photographs.
