This SPX FLOW / Plenty unit is a heavy-duty industrial mixer / agitator designed for mounting through the side wall of a tank or process vessel. Side-entry mixers provide circulation throughout the vessel by driving an internal mixer shaft and impeller from an externally mounted drive assembly.

The mixer uses a substantial reduction gearbox to convert the higher rotational speed of an electric drive motor into the lower-speed, higher-torque output required for industrial agitation. This arrangement allows the mixer to move large volumes of liquid efficiently while maintaining the mechanical strength required for continuous process operation.

The process-side section visible in the photographs is manufactured with substantial stainless-steel components. This section forms the interface between the external mixer drive and the internal mixer shaft and normally incorporates the shaft-support and sealing arrangement required where the shaft enters the vessel.

Side-entry mixing equipment of this type is typically used to maintain a homogeneous product within storage or process tanks. Typical duties include blending different liquids, preventing product separation, maintaining temperature uniformity, circulating tank contents and keeping suspended material in motion.

The blue drive housing carries a separate identification plate containing additional mechanical drive information. A second SPX FLOW identification plate is fitted to the process-side mixer assembly. Unfortunately, several stamped values including the exact model, serial number, reduction ratio, power and operating speed are blurred in the supplied photographs and have therefore not been estimated.

The assembly is suitable for integration into large industrial tanks and vessels in applications such as chemical processing, petrochemical production, bulk liquid storage, water treatment and general process-industry mixing, subject to compatibility with the process medium and the original equipment specifications.
