This Endress+Hauser Promass F 300 is an industrial Coriolis mass flowmeter fitted with the compact Promass 300 transmitter. The complete instrument combines the process flow sensor and electronic transmitter into one integrated measuring system for accurate monitoring of liquids and gases in industrial pipelines.

Unlike flowmeters that calculate flow from pressure or velocity, the Coriolis measuring principle provides a direct measurement of mass flow. The instrument can also provide additional process information including fluid density, process temperature and calculated volumetric flow, allowing several important process variables to be obtained from a single measuring point.

The transmitter is identified by order code 8F3B80-18M91/0 and serial number HC0C5A02000. The extended configuration code shown on the identification plate is 8F3B80-BS1EADDGAA5AA1SAA2+, which can be used when requesting original configuration information, documentation or replacement components from Endress+Hauser.

The Promass 300 transmitter provides a standard 4–20 mA HART process output together with two additional configurable I/O channels. This allows the flowmeter to be integrated into industrial PLC, DCS and process-control systems for measurement, monitoring and diagnostics.

The electronic transmitter can be powered from either 85–264 V AC at 50/60 Hz or 19.2–28.8 V DC, depending on the installation. The nameplate specifies a power consumption of 10 W.

Electrical connections are made through M20 x 1.5 cable entries. The transmitter nameplate also identifies the terminal circuits for the configurable I/O channels and specifies a maximum interface voltage of Ui = 30 V DC and Um = 250 V AC.
