Project Ioniqa

A chemical recycling scale-up based at the Brightlands Chemelot Campus in Geleen, a modern and largely complete recycling installation is becoming available for reuse and resale.

Scope of the project

Ioniqa developed a chemical recycling process for PET waste, aiming to convert plastic back into virgin-quality raw material (BHET). Although the plant had reached commercial-scale production, operational challenges related to product handling ultimately prevented downstream users from processing the recycled material effectively.

SSMI is supporting the structured dismantling and commercial release of the available process installations. The laboratory remains outside the scope of this project, but all core production equipment is included. Check out these young machinery and  get a sharp quote today!
